Surprise!

Hello Darlings!!!
Sorry Ive been missing for such a long time. Theres been so much going on in my life during the last month, its seriously been crazy! So where to begin...hmm...well let me begin by saying...
I AM PREGNANT!
Precisely 12 weeks and 5 days. Theres a tiny miracle growing inside me and we couldnt be more happy! My husband and I found out September 5th after three weeks of driving myself crazy thinking I had the flu. Turns out that the week before I started feeling the dreaded “morning sickness” my in laws and hubby came down with the flu. So what was I to think?
I was really dreading taking a pregnancy test. I had finally come to peace with the fact that perhaps I would never be able to conceive and taking a pregnancy test felt really insulting to myself because I think of it as a reminder of what I could supposedly NEVER accomplish.

The first time I saw that positive I was seriously in complete amazement. I started crying I simply could not believe it. My husband had insisted I take a pregnancy test so against my wishes there I went. When we got the results he said, “I knew it! I just knew it!” Needless to say we are extremely ecstatic and so are our families. Wish I could say the same for Opie our siamese adoptive baby...he knew something fishy was up weeks before we even suspected. He had been acting rather strange lately and was suddenly bonding with my Hubby more than me. Its funny how animals can sense such things. If my husband is in the room well I may as well be invisible. I think he is trying to make me jealous haha.
So much has changed in the last month for obvious reasons. Dealing with morning or should I say “all day sickness” has not been too too bad however I did have to stop cooking for quite some time. The weirdest of foods freak me out...literally. Theres been weird changes both inside and outside my body. Overall its not been too bad at all. I am very happy at how everything has gone so far. Now that im approaching the end of the first trimester I am scared to turn into a hungry hungry hippo hahaha! Lets hope not.
Other fabulous things thats happened in the last month, I turned 25 and I got a Nikon DSLR which should arrive any day now. I am so thankful for all the blessings the Lord has given me so far. I always hoped to become a mother at age 25, which was the same age when my mother had me. To be honest I was very sad to be turning 25 without the hope of a baby this year but God had a HUGE surprise for me. God certainly is soo good to me not only for this blessing but for so many other things. Theres no doubt in my mind that “Prayer changes things” all you need is a little patience because the Lord knows precisely when the time is right!
Love
Jeni
